Teaching Assistant for Special Needs

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Special Education Assistant - Behavioural Support to join our team. As a Special Education Assistant - Behavioural Support, you will work closely with Teachers and other support staff to provide care and support to children with autism and other special needs.
**Responsibilities:** The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing behaviour management plans to support children with ASD and SEN.
- Providing emotional and practical support to children with ASD and SEN, helping them to build confidence and independence.
- Collaborating with Teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective strategies to promote positive behaviour and reduce challenging behaviour.
- Supporting colleagues in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, free from bullying and harassment.
- Monitoring and recording student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these.
**Requirements:** To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Previous experience of working with children with ASD and other special needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality support and care to children with special needs.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
**Salary:** £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
