Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care to cardiothoracic patients, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care pathways.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in cardiothoracic nursing practice, staying up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with Trust standards and best practices.
  • Provide education and training to junior staff members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of solutions.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and a valid PIN number.
  • Experience in cardiothoracic nursing or a related field, with a strong understanding of cardiovascular care pathways.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Knowledge of Trust policies and procedures, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new developments.
