About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Structural Design Engineer to join our successful Highway team in the UK offices. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide portfolio of major projects across the UK, collaborating with some of the best engineers in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and detailing of civil engineering structures in steel and concrete, adhering to Eurocodes and national best practice guidance.
  • Experience in the use of computer software for the analysis of structures, including finite element software.
  • Production of design deliverables, including packages of drawings and specifications, and supervision of engineers and BIM/CAD technicians.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively collaborate with colleagues and clients.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in geotechnical design to Eurocodes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project objectives.
  • A challenging attitude to solving engineering problems, with a focus on cost-effective designs and innovative solutions.
  • Awareness of the importance of costs and the need to complete projects on time and to budget.

Requirements

  • BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering.
  • Working towards Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE or MIStructE) status.
