Your Role

As a pivotal member of our Defence Infrastructure project team in Glasgow, you will be working as a Civil/Structural Engineer. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying project requirements and stakeholder needs
  • Providing engineering support and aiding in project optioneering
  • Reviewing project documentation and overseeing detailed design activities
  • Conducting technical assessments of contractors' work and supervising construction activities
  • Specifying and supervising commissioning/decommissioning processes
  • Collaborating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensuring compliance with Environment, Health, Safety, Security, and Quality standards
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of training
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • HNC in Civil Engineering
  • Basic health and safety training for site visits
  • Nuclear safety case training
  • Civil/structural engineering expertise
  • Design and assessment of industrial steel, reinforced concrete, and maritime structures
  • Experience across concept design, detailed design, and construction stages
