About the Position
The Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) Robotics Engineering Department invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. We seek an exceptional candidate with a strong background in robotics and a passion for teaching and research.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the department's research and teaching mission, with a focus on developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in robotics engineering. The candidate will also be expected to establish a strong research program, with a focus on areas such as robot learning and AI, perception, soft robotics, manipulation, and human-robot interaction.
Requirements
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. The candidate should have a strong publication record and a demonstrated ability to secure research funding. Experience in teaching and mentoring students is also highly desirable.
