About the Position
The WPI Robotics Engineering Department invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. We seek individuals with expertise in robot learning and AI, perception, soft robotics, manipulation, and human-robot interaction.
Research and Teaching
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to complement, expand, and synergize with our existing research foci in perception-based motion planning and control, manipulation, human-robot interaction, multi-robot systems, soft robots, medical and assistive robotics, and human augmentation.
Department Overview
The WPI Robotics Engineering Department is the first-of-its-kind department in the nation with a vision to be an exemplary multidisciplinary center of education, research, and innovation in robotics. It is built on an ABET-accredited Robotics Engineering program, offering robotics engineering BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees to ~760 undergraduate and graduate students.
