About the Role:
Sutcombe Parish Council is seeking a Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer (RFO) to provide administrative and financial support. The ideal candidate will work 3 hours per week, primarily from home.
Duties:
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and papers for meetings.
- Monitor actions and implement decisions made at meetings.
- Consider planning applications and submit responses to Torridge District Council.
- Manage the Parish Council's finances, including bank reconciliations and VAT returns.
- Maintain the Council website.
Requirements:
The successful applicant must have strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, as well as good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience in local government administration is desirable but not essential; training can be provided. The estimated salary for this role is £25,000-£30,000 per annum.
