About the Role

As a Track Maintenance Specialist at Network Rail, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the rail network. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain, inspect, and repair the track network, also known as the Permanent Way or P-Way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair the track network, including rails, sleepers, and ballast.
  • Inspect the track network to identify potential issues and take corrective action.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver safe and efficient work delivery.
  • Develop and implement safe systems of work to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

Requirements

  • Experience of arranging and implementing safe systems of work.
  • Knowledge of discipline-specific maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques.
  • Strong communication skills, both in person and in writing.
  • Ability to work shifts in all weathers.
