We are looking for a highly motivated Rehabilitation Assistant Specialist to join our team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.

Job Description:

This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment, supporting the delivery of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy services on ward 22 at Leicester General Hospital.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and the capacity to work independently as part of a team. Experience working in a healthcare setting is essential, and a clear understanding of the role of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy is required.

Main Duties:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of treatment programmes for patients with various conditions.
  • Work closely with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Liaise with other professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,270 - £31,383 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will benefit from comprehensive trust and service induction, regular supervision, annual appraisal, and a training programme to support development.

Person Specification:
  • GCSE English/Maths or equivalent
  • Experience working within a team
  • Experience in a healthcare setting/previous therapy support worker role
  • Effective communication skills
  • Understanding of the role of OT/PT in an acute setting
  • Experience or understanding of patients with neurological conditions
