Main Responsibilities

Job Summary

Gray Healthcare is seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in Worcester. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with Autism, Epilepsy, and Learning Disabilities who requires 2:1 support 24 hours a day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide social care experience, ideally within mental health, and support individuals with complex health needs and Learning Disabilities.
  • Implement detailed care plans and risk assessments, and provide encouragement to individuals with challenging behaviors.
  • Support individuals with Schizophrenia and other mental health conditions, and work collaboratively with a mixed gender team on mixed shifts.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of person-centered care plans, and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Ensure the highest standards of care and support are maintained, and promote the individual's independence and well-being.

Requirements

  • Current Right to Work in the UK and at least 6 months of employment in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and provide excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including waking nights.
