About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Mental Health Team at Worcestershire County Council. As a key member of our team, you will work with adults with complex mental health needs, providing assessment, analysis, and intervention to support their recovery and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with adults with complex mental health needs, providing assessment, analysis, and intervention to support their recovery and well-being.
  • Undertake Section 42 safeguarding enquiries and social supervision as required.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the needs of service users.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including healthcare providers and carers, to ensure comprehensive support for service users.
  • Provide supervision and support to colleagues as needed.
Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker with extensive experience of working in a strengths-based manner with adults with mental health difficulties.
  • Knowledge of the Care Act (2014), Mental Capacity Act (2005), and Mental Health Act (1983).
  • Ability to work autonomously and flexibly, with a high level of autonomy and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with service users, carers, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
