Adepto Technical Recruitment is seeking an Occupational Health Specialist to work on a part-time basis in West Yorkshire. This role is ideal for someone with experience in conducting health surveillance activities and a desire to support employee well-being.

Job Overview

This position involves assisting the Occupational Health Nurse in carrying out health assessments and ensuring effective health monitoring processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting health surveillance activities such as skin inspections and administering health questionnaires.
  • Performing audiometry and spirometry testing (training certificates required).
  • Assisting with health assessments by gathering data – no interpretation of results (these will be reviewed by the Occupational Health Nurse).
  • Ensuring accurate documentation and records management.
  • Potential involvement in administrative tasks, including maintaining health records, booking appointments, and managing communications.
  • Effective IT skills are essential to handle administrative duties, such as data entry and report management.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in health surveillance activities (e.g., skin inspections, administering health questionnaires).
  • Training certificates in audiometry and spirometry (essential).
  • Basic knowledge of Occupational Health procedures.
  • No specific OH qualification required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with Occupational Health Nurses and other colleagues.
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office and data management).
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage records accurately.

We offer a competitive salary of £18,000 - £20,000 per annum, depending on experience, and the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.
