We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the St Albans Integrated Urgent Care Hub. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working autonomously to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of minor illnesses and injuries.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake clinical assessments, diagnose, and treat patients with minor illnesses and injuries.
- Interpret ECGs and manage minor ENT and ophthalmic presentations.
- Diagnose and manage minor injury presentations, including uncomplicated fractures.
- Offer health education and advice to patients as appropriate.
- Support access for patients within the UCH opening hours and facilitate a clear patient pathway.
- Enable patients to carry out self-care through effective communication of healthcare advice.
- Administer simple analgesics to patients while awaiting senior clinical review if clinically indicated.
- Recognize acutely ill patients and act appropriately with other clinical support as required.
- Identify safeguarding concerns and make appropriate referrals following safeguarding processes.
- NMC Registered Nurse
- Minor illness/Minor Injury qualification (L6 or L7)
- Triage/streaming experience
- Evidence of working with a variety of patients requiring triaging assessment and treatment (minimum of 1 year experience)
- MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice
Permanent, full-time or part-time
