About the Role: As a Course Maintenance Manager at Chepstow Racecourse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality racing surfaces through turf management and raceday infrastructure. You will lead and motivate a skilled team to achieve our aims, ensuring the Estate is maintained to the highest standards.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, accurate, and highly motivated with a positive attitude towards work. They should possess significant experience in outdoor labouring and managing a small team.

Key Responsibilities:
* Under the direction of the Clerk of the Course, carry out a maintenance programme for the course.
* Assist in preparing the course for racing, including preparation and reinstatement of the course before, after, and during racing.
* Maintain all lawn and garden areas and parade rings, focusing on presentation for racedays and events.
* General maintenance of external areas, including car parks, tracks, tarmac areas, and horsebox park.
* Ensure all external areas are free from weeds, rubbish, and leaves.

Requirements:
* Educated to at least GCSE or equivalent.
* NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Maintenance desirable.
* Spraying Certificates PA1, 2, & 6 desirable.
* Relevant outdoor year-round labouring experience.
* Experience of managing a small team.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Systematic approach to problems.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Excellent attendance record.
* Flexible approach to working.
* Enjoy outdoor working.
* Full clean driving licence.

Estimated Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
