Job Description

Proton is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Head of Finance and Operations. This is a critical position that will play a key role in powering the company's operations and driving financial success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial processes and controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Accounting and Financial Compliance: Perform accounting tasks, including revenue recognition, bookkeeping, month close, and accounts payable. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax requirements.
  • Administrative Finance: Manage billing and collections, variable compensation and partner commission calculations and payment, and administer company financial systems.
  • Human Resources: Complete basic employee and contractor onboarding and offboarding, administer bi-monthly payroll, and maintain employee records.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare bespoke financial reporting for various business needs, including board meetings and fundraising.
Requirements
  • Background in Accounting and Finance: A solid background in accounting, financial planning, and financial operations is required.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: The ability to clearly communicate financial concepts to a lay audience and work with a wide range of stakeholders is essential.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: The ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously and deliver extremely high-quality work is required.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: The ability to take on new responsibilities and adapt to changing needs is essential.
