About the Role
Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a highly skilled Communication Disorder Specialist to join our team. In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will play a critical part in providing treatment and support for individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders.
Job Description
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing and developing treatment plans for patients with communication difficulties. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality care that meets the unique needs of each individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify communication disorders
- Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve communication skills
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field
- Registration with the RCSLT
- Experience working with children and adults with communication disorders
