Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Glasdon UK Limited, Blackpool. As a key member of our purchasing and stock control functions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our multi-million-pound stock holding across multiple warehouse facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Liaise with a wide range of suppliers within the UK and overseas manufacturing sectors
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible prices and terms
- Control and manage inventory levels to optimize stock holding and minimize waste
- Collaborate with the in-house supply chain team to ensure seamless communication and coordination
- Process purchasing requisitions and manage stock using our in-house commercial system
- 2.1 or above university degree in a relevant field
- CIPS qualified or willing to undergo study support towards a CIPS qualification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
