Camera Technology Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Camera Technology Specialist to contribute to the development of innovative camera features. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to design, test, and implement new camera technologies, including Portrait mode, video features, and photo capture methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in quality evaluations of new camera features and algorithms through experimental studies in the lab and in the field.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide direct feedback and contribute to the development of new camera technologies.
  • Contribute to the testing and validation of camera systems in a lab environment.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of camera pipelines and operations, including sharpening, HDR, and image fusion concepts.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in camera technology and apply this knowledge to improve camera features and quality.
Requirements
  • Practical experience in capturing, displaying, analyzing, and editing photos using tools like Lightroom, Apple Photos, and Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of conventional camera pipelines and operations, including sharpening, HDR, and image fusion concepts.
  • Excellent sense of photography, videography, and cinematography on both technical and artistic levels.
  • Knowledge of camera lab equipment and experience operating camera systems in a lab.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
  • Experience with Python scripting and shell scripting.
