Camera Technology Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Camera Technology Specialist to join our team at Apple Inc. This role will contribute to the development and implementation of innovative camera features, ensuring high-quality images and videos.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop camera technologies, including Portrait mode, video features, and photo capture methodologies.
  • Participate in quality evaluations of new features and algorithms through experimental studies in the lab and in the field.
  • Provide direct feedback to engineering teams to ensure high-quality camera features.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in camera technology.
Requirements
  • Practical experience in capturing, displaying, analyzing, and editing photos using tools like Lightroom, Apple Photos, and Photoshop.
  • Understanding of conventional camera pipelines and operations, including sharpening, HDR, and image fusion concepts.
  • Good understanding of how to test image and video quality characteristics in the field.
  • Excellent sense of photography, videography, and cinematography on both technical and artistic levels.
  • Understanding of the Human Visual System and its impact on our perception of photos and videos.
  • Knowledge of camera lab equipment and experience operating camera systems in a lab.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Writing, modifying, and using Python scripts and shell scripts.
