Transforming Camera Technology with Amazon

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge camera products. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will work closely with experts in image quality, algorithm design, embedded software, robotics, and machine learning to create innovative solutions that bring people together.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop algorithms for our consumer products, leveraging your expertise in software development and machine learning.
  2. Collaborate with camera experts, product management, and computer vision specialists to drive the development of our camera products.
  3. Guide the team to solve complex technical challenges and develop new approaches to enhance the user experience.
  4. Lead and mentor junior engineers, while delivering high-quality results and meeting project deadlines.

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design
- Experience in professional software development, with a focus on architecture, design patterns, and reliability
- Experience leading the design and development of new and current systems
- Strong understanding of building systems and toolchains
- Ability to identify needs for software reviews and optimizations
- Experience with middleware/SW stacks and embedded systems
- Experience with API design and continuous integration practices

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
