Job Overview

Gold Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Central London office. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Cost Control & Budget Management: Collaborate with the project team to monitor budgets, manage expenditures, and optimize resource utilization to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
  2. Valuations & Payment Applications: Prepare accurate valuations, progress claims, and payment applications to maintain a healthy cash flow and align financials with project timelines.
  3. Subcontractor Management: Develop and implement effective subcontractor agreements, ensuring that pricing, valuations, and payments are aligned with project requirements.
  4. Risk & Dispute Resolution: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, protecting Gold Group's commercial interests.
  5. Contract Administration: Manage contract documentation, changes, and variations, ensuring compliance with terms, conditions, and relevant laws.
  6. Cost Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular project cost reports, forecasts, and insights to inform senior management's decision-making.
Requirements
  • In-Depth Project Knowledge: Proven expertise in the entire project lifecycle, with experience managing large subcontractor packages.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years working with a Tier 1 main contractor in a similar capacity.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence in interacting with various stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits
  1. Salary: £67,500 per annum.
  2. Bonus Structure: Eligible for discretionary bonuses based on individual and company performance.
  3. Annual Leave: 29 days of annual leave + bank holidays.
