The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Project Developer to join our team at the Green Recruitment Company. This is a rare opportunity to work with a leading international Solar developer with multiple offices across the UK and worldwide.
The Role
  • Manage the grid-connection application, assessment, and acceptance process to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Assess potential restrictions for development and identify areas suitable for solar development.
  • Establish preliminary contact with landowners, outlining possible terms for lease, and secure required contracts.
  • Identify landowners with suitable land for solar development, initiate and complete land option and lease agreements.
  • Develop and maintain local relationships to ensure local support and drive successful project delivery.
  • Plan and direct all activities required for the successful delivery of project development, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently within scope, time, and cost.
  • Maintain contact with authorities and drive successful planning and adherence to timelines.
  • Support development in other European countries, such as Italy.

The Person
  • 2-5 years of experience in solar project development in Europe, with a focus on the UK.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to speak Italian as an asset.
  • Profound knowledge of the energy sector in the UK and the regulatory framework in the UK and Europe.
  • Strong local network and ability to establish and maintain it.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
  • Negotiation capabilities.
