LTF Recruitment Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable secondary school in the Derbyshire area.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to work as a Teaching Assistant, providing support to a student with specific needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the Inclusion & Behaviour Manager and teaching staff to develop strategies for achieving positive behavioral outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the student to support their learning across the curriculum, under the direction of the Inclusion & Behaviour Manager.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver support strategies in liaison with teaching staff, to help the student achieve their goals.
  • Support teaching staff in managing challenging behavior, and provide regular and constructive feedback to the student on their progress.
  • Ensure the student receives the necessary support throughout the school day, as outlined in their independent education plan.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with specific needs, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies to support student learning and behavior.
  • Highly organized and motivated individual, with a strong commitment to providing excellent support to students.
