**Teaching Assistant**

**Grade/SCP**:SRS Band 3 SCP 6-9

**Salary**: £21,968 - £23,194 Per Annum (Full time equivalent)

**Hours**: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

**Contract**: Permanent

Saint John Houghton Catholic Voluntary Academy, part of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi-Academy Trust is seeking to appoint** **a highly motivated Teaching Assistant who will work as part of a very successful and experienced team who achieve excellent outcomes for students.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Working with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils
- Promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
- Giving support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement
