Electronics Engineering Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Engineering Lead to join our team at STR Group in Greenwich, London. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the development, qualification, and documentation of hardware for our undersea communication cable systems.

This is a hands-on role that requires a strong background in electronics engineering, with experience in leading electronic design teams and mentoring junior engineers. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement new technologies, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of electronic hardware for our undersea communication cable systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new technologies
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Ensure that all hardware meets the highest standards of quality and reliability
  • Work closely with our team to develop and implement new processes and procedures

Requirements:

  • Strong background in electronics engineering, with experience in leading electronic design teams
  • Experience with FPGA and CPLD design, using VHDL/Verilog
  • Strong knowledge of PCB CAD tools, such as Zuken or Altium
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A degree in electrical/electronic engineering, or equivalent experience
