Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a forward-thinking Primary School in the Borough of Islington.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of SEN pupils, including those with Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD, and Speech & Language difficulties.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing 1:1 and group support to pupils in and out of the classroom, working closely with a range of professionals and the SENCO.

You will also have the opportunity to attend weekly training sessions to develop your skills and knowledge in supporting SEN pupils.

The school is committed to providing additional training and support to its staff, and you will have the opportunity to work across various school phases, including EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting SEN pupils and has a strong understanding of SEN. Previous experience is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to SEN pupils in and out of the classroom
  • Work closely with a range of professionals and the SENCO
  • Attend weekly training sessions to develop skills and knowledge
  • Work across various school phases, including EYFS, KS1, and KS2

Requirements:

  • Degree from a reputable University
  • Strong understanding of SEN
  • Previous SEN experience desirable but not essential
