About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Reablement Support Worker to join our team at Wiltshire Council. As a Reablement Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping individuals regain their independence and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to customers in their own homes, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Work closely with occupational therapists to develop personalized reablement plans, ensuring customers receive the best possible care.
  • Assist customers with daily living activities, such as washing, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Safeguard the health, safety, and wellbeing of customers and colleagues.
  • Participate in staff development programs and undertake mandatory training to enhance professional development.

Requirements

  • Care Certificate or equivalent skills and experience.
  • General level of education to GCSE A*-C or equivalent skills and experience.
  • Empathy with the elderly and/or people with a disability and an understanding of their needs.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize own workload.
  • Pleasant and helpful manner.
  • Effective communication both written and oral.
