We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Service Delivery Assistant to join our team at Great Western Railway (GWR). As a key member of our station team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely dispatch of our trains, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe station environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high levels of customer service and be dedicated to customer needs.
- Ensure the safe and punctual departure of trains from the station and follow correct dispatch procedures.
- Provide helpful information and assistance to customers.
- Ensure the safety of customers, colleagues, visitors, and contractors.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the station, including toilets, waiting rooms, platforms, stairs, and subways.
- Liaise with other key GWR departments to ensure accurate and timely customer information, especially in times of disruption.
- Able to deliver extraordinary front-line customer service.
- A self-starter with a can-do attitude.
- Able to confidently make decisions.
- Able to remain calm yet confident and customer-focused in a crisis.
- Comfortable working within strict procedures.
You will need to be able to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. You will need to be available to work from 05:30 – 00:45 Monday – Sunday, with a roster that averages 35 hours over 6 weeks.
Additional InformationThis is a predictive advert to create a pool of suitable candidates who can be appointed, pending the vacancy approval. Applicants who are successfully shortlisted will be expected to undertake an online ability test and competency-based interview. The successful candidate will be required to meet the medical standards for this role, including colour vision and hearing tests. A Basic DBS is also required.
