Education Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Support Worker to join our team at a SEMH school in Westbury, Wiltshire. As an Education Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual support and supervision for pupils, encouraging their engagement in the learning process.
  • Work towards agreed aims and objectives with pupils, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective learning plans.
  • Support pupils with their daily routines, including personal care and hygiene.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of educational activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working with children and young people, preferably in a SEMH setting.
  • An interest in supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and empathize with young people, promoting a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • High levels of motivation, commitment, and enthusiasm, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Good general standard of education to Level 2, including GCSE Grade 4 equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
