Electrical Training Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Training Specialist to join our team at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Oxfordshire.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and training, with experience in delivering high-quality technical instruction to learners.
This role involves managing and developing comprehensive teaching and learning experiences in practical and theoretical skills within apprenticeship standards.
You will be responsible for delivering face-to-face or online learning sessions to small groups of learners, following nationally recognised qualifications.
In addition to technical knowledge and skills, you will also develop softer skills embedded within apprenticeships, providing regular constructive feedback to learners and recording their impact on their learning.
The duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Delivering electrical-based knowledge and practical subjects at level 2, 3, and HNC, focusing on developing independent learners and enabling apprentice progression towards successful completion of both the level 3 apprenticeship & HNC programmes.
- Managing physical learning resources and teaching spaces to ensure the training and assessment of learners is achieved within guided learning hours.
- Creating and developing learning content and integrating relevant existing training offers from industry partners into apprenticeship schemes-of-work.
- Monitoring the learning environment and ensuring learner workplace Health, Safety, and welfare by working with the DSL.
- Supporting the progress of learners towards completing their apprenticeship in a timely manner, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong foundation in electrical engineering and training, including industry-related qualifications such as HND or NVQs.
- Qualifications in 18th Edition industrial electrical engineering and functional skills in Maths and English at Level 2 or GCSE grade C or above.
Desirable qualities include:
- Certified Assessment and Verification Awards (CAVA) or equivalent assessor qualifications.
- Recognised Training/Teaching Qualifications.
- Internal Quality Assurance qualifications.
In addition, you will have a high level of electrical engineering knowledge gained through industrial experience, preferably in electrical principles and industrial control systems.
The MTC offers a competitive salary of ££40,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and a supportive work environment.
