Competitive Salary and BenefitsThe position attracts a Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000, in addition to an up to £8,000 relocation allowance. The Recruitment and Retention payment is pro rata for part-time employees.
- £5,000 payment paid on appointment
- £5,000 retention payment paid at 12 months anniversary of employment
- £6,500 retention payment paid at 30 months anniversary of employment
- £8,500 retention payment paid at 48 months anniversary of employment
This opportunity offers a competitive salary package, including a £77,900 basic salary (estimated), plus benefits such as a generous annual leave entitlement and opportunities for career progression.
About the RoleAs a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide high-quality mental health care and treatment for patients with severe and enduring mental illness. You will work closely with senior managers and other consultants to contribute towards local service development.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- Basic Medical Training
- Full GMC/UK Registration
- MRC Psych or equivalent
- CST and entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or expected within 6 months
- Section 12 approval and AC approval
You should also have experience and training in managing people who are severely mentally ill, a good understanding and knowledge of all aspects of adult psychiatry, and thorough knowledge of legislation relating to mental health.
