Mental Health and Wellbeing Assistant

We are pleased to offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Mental Health and Wellbeing Assistant to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have experience in supporting students with SEMH needs and will be able to work effectively in a team environment. You will be responsible for implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs), as well as providing 1:1 and small group support to students.
Key Responsibilities- Developing Coping Strategies: Help students develop essential coping strategies to manage their emotions and behaviour.
- Collaborating with Teachers: Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement IEPs and BSPs, ensuring that students receive tailored support.
- Fostering Positive Relationships: Build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
