Job Title: Children's Residential Home Deputy Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at our new Contextual Safeguarding Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our innovative journey alongside Leicestershire County Council to deliver a range of children's homes for our most vulnerable young people.

As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Residential Support Workers and Senior Staff to provide high-quality care to children and young people between 8-18 years old.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Residential Support Workers and Senior Staff to provide care and support to children and young people.
  • Work closely with the Registered Children's Home Manager to achieve a rating of outstanding in OFSTED inspections.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each child and young person.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people at all times.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports to enable safeguarding and protection of children and young people.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory and shift leader experience in a children's residential setting.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with OFSTED regulations and quality standards of children's homes.
  • Ability to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's services.
