Systems Engineering Specialist

Our client, a leading aerospace company, is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join their team in Farnborough on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing general systems engineering solutions to maximise the strategic capabilities of the company's product.
The role involves managing and communicating the system roadmap, working with the wider engineering community, including system architects, and making decisions that balance stakeholder requirements. As a key member of the team, you will actively participate in flight trials and contribute to the development of robust technical solutions on time to meet demanding schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and communicate the system roadmap.
- Make decisions with a balanced view of all stakeholder requirements.
- Manage new and existing suppliers/stakeholders.
- Define appropriate implementation and proportionate application of the project product assurance plan.
Required Skills:
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of UAV technologies, including secure communications and network architectures.
- Able to rapidly perform system-level trade-offs and access sub-system options.
- Knowledge of electronic/software/embedded system design, delivery process, and acceptance test and qualification criteria.
