We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Health and Wellbeing Coach to join our team at Vita Health Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing health and lifestyle coaching and care coordination to individuals in need.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver health and wellbeing workshops, exercise classes, and one-on-one coaching sessions to support individuals in improving their mental and physical wellbeing.
- Conduct initial assessments and coaching sessions to identify and address the causes and barriers to improving lifestyle factors, such as physical activity levels and healthier eating.
- Contribute to the development of our Healthy Living Healthy Minds programme and assist in producing resources to support programme delivery.
- Provide coaching and support to individuals with mental wellbeing difficulties, including those with long-term health conditions.
- Minimum level 3 accredited qualification in personal training or exercise instruction (such as REPs or CIMSPA).
- Level 3 GP Referral (Also known as Level 3 Exercise Referral) or willingness to work towards this during the first 6 months in post (funded by Vita Health Group).
- Experience of delivering face-to-face or virtual exercise classes.
- Experience of working individually and within a team.
- Ability to encourage behavioural changes and design individualised health and wellbeing plans.
- Sound health and wellbeing knowledge, including exercise and nutrition.
- Experience of working with people experiencing mental wellbeing difficulties.
- Basic knowledge of the Talking Therapies mental health service.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Adept in time management and prioritisation.
- Friendly and approachable with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An awareness of and commitment to supporting and facilitating diversity and inclusion.
- Willingness to travel, which may include overnight stays on occasion, as and when required.
