Job Title: Environmental Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Safety Coordinator to join our team at NRL. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a champion for health and safety, providing guidance and support to managers and staff to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Facilitate and coach operational teams on Inclusion + Wellbeing and engagement tools, promoting a culture of safety and wellbeing.
  • Conduct regular assurance activities to ensure the effectiveness of our Health and Safety Management System.
  • Support the investigation of incidents, including high potential incidents, to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve safety performance, including the promotion of a positive safety culture.
  • Collaborate with management to develop the soft skills required to deliver Inclusion + Wellbeing successfully.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, identifying opportunities to innovate and improve our safety processes.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions.
