We are seeking a talented and experienced Art Production Lead to join our team at Space Ape Games. As an Art Production Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the art production process, ensuring that all art assets are created to the highest standard and meet the required deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of art production pipelines, experience in managing external teams, and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with the Studio Art Director to maintain a healthy art culture and artists' personal development, growth, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining art production pipelines, both internally and with external teams
  • Coordinating with external partners, negotiating contracts, and managing partner relationships
  • Facilitating art production schedules, partnering with art, product, and marketing teams to define scope and verify asset requests
  • Providing transparency on art production status, communicating with the production team/leads on asset status, risks, and problem-solving opportunities
  • Scheduling team meetings, running art reviews, and providing actionable notes and follow-up information to attendees
  • Mentoring artists, helping set goals, and providing feedback
  • Motivating and supporting the art team, contributing to a positive environment and culture through organizing training, events, and improving existing rituals

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a producer, project management, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in supervising production pipelines
  • Solid understanding of creative pipelines, approval processes, and dependency chains
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter, able to approach challenges creatively and see things through to their final resolution
  • Ability to build, track, and maintain feature and content schedules
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiar with Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall project management methodologies
  • Ability to give feedback internally and externally in a professional manner
