Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Graduate Geo-Environmental Engineer to join our team in Northwich. As a Graduate Geo-Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering geo-environmental and geotechnical consultancy services to a range of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and gain experience on a diverse range of projects, including ground investigations, contaminated land assessments, geotechnical design, remediation design, verification, Part 2A investigations, due diligence surveys, and more.
  • Supervise ground investigations involving various techniques, manage subcontractors, log and sample soil and rock to BS5930, monitor gas and groundwater, undertake in-situ tests, validation works, and schedule chemical and geotechnical laboratory testing.
  • Produce drawings, including in CAD, and write desk-based Phase I geo-environmental assessment reports and Coal Mining Risk Assessments.
  • Communicate with project managers over requirements, including preparing invoice breakdowns on completion of works, and liaise with sub-contractors and clients to assist in the delivery of projects.
  • Help prepare proposals for new work and comply with internal policies, procedures, and ISO standards.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate Degree (2:1 or above) in a relevant subject, such as geology, environmental science, geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, or physical geography.
  • Good IT skills and comfortable with MS Office, and a full UK driving license (manual transmission).
  • A strong work ethic, able to work effectively either alone or as part of a small team, and good problem-solving/contingency planning skills with the ability to adapt, finding quick, innovative, and practical solutions.
