About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Machinist/Programmer to join our team at McLaren Racing. As a key member of our precision manufacturing department, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality components on time and in full.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manufacture precision machined components to information prescribed within our job packs and engineering drawings.
  2. Set and operate several multi-axis CNC machines with a range of controllers.
  3. Program parts online, fully, or partially, maintaining accurate records.
  4. Collaborate with the Senior Programmers and Manufacturing Engineering Team to develop workholding, programs, and machining methods.
  5. Support the Shift Lead to manage workflow in the machining cell, maximizing output without compromising quality.

Requirements

  1. Proven track record as an experienced machinist with a recognized level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent.
  2. Skilled at setting and operating multi-axis machining centers.
  3. Previous experience machining small batch precision components in a demanding environment, preferably in motorsport, aerospace, or a similar field.
  4. On-control programming experience.
  5. Knowledge of manufacturing systems and software.
