About the Role:

We are recruiting for a highly experienced Principal Civil Engineer to lead our infrastructure projects in Cardiff. As a key figure in our Civil Engineering Design team, you will oversee the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they meet budget and timeline expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership: Manage infrastructure projects from start to finish, adhering to regulatory standards and client requirements.
  • Site Investigations: Conduct site investigations and surveys to gather necessary data for project design and planning.
  • Design and Planning: Prepare detailed engineering designs, calculations, and technical specifications for infrastructure projects.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project coordination and integration.
  • Risk Management: Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective solutions.
  • Industry Trends: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to enhance project delivery and quality.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Circa 5 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure design and project management.
  • Track Record: Proven track record of successfully delivering infrastructure projects within budget and timeline.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro drainage or Info Drainage, PDS or Causeway Flow.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines related to infrastructure design and construction.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Lifelong Learning: Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Estimated Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 Per Annum
