About the Role

The Hepatitis C Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Policy and Campaigns Lead to join our team. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving our work on policy and campaigns, ensuring that our organization remains at the forefront of the hepatitis C elimination agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Policy Development: Develop and implement our policy strategy, working closely with the Chief Executive and Management Team to ensure that our influencing work is aligned with our organizational goals.
  • Campaigns and Advocacy: Design and deliver effective campaigns to influence decision-makers and drive policy change, leveraging your expertise in public affairs and campaigning.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations to advance our shared goals, including the elimination of hepatitis C in the UK by 2030.
  • Community Engagement: Work closely with communities affected by hepatitis C to develop policy and campaigns that reflect their needs and priorities.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to our policy and campaigns team, ensuring that they have the skills and resources needed to deliver high-quality work.

Requirements

  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and implement effective policy and campaigns strategies that drive meaningful change.
  • Policy and Campaigns Expertise: Significant experience in policy development, public affairs, and campaigning, with a strong understanding of the UK policy landscape.
  • Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with a track record of developing and motivating staff to achieve high-quality results.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, including decision-makers, community leaders, and colleagues.
