Job Purpose

To provide high-level clinical expertise as an advanced nurse practitioner, utilizing advanced decision-making and clinical judgment to assess and treat a diverse range of pediatric and adult patients in General Practice settings.

Ensure that patient health needs are met through the provision of diagnosis and management of patient conditions, utilizing the assessment, treatment, and review planning process in partnership with patients and families.

Offer specialist advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, clients, and relatives, encompassing the role of expert clinician, educator, innovator, and auditor.

To work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the development and delivery of policy and procedures, development and implementation of nursing services, and providing nurse and clinical leadership as required.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group, an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
