Electronics Systems Designer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Systems Designer to join our client, a leading provider of advanced inspection and testing solutions, in Colchester.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the electronic/electrical design and testing of new X-Ray and Bond Test products, as well as the maintenance of existing products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and layout of electrical support systems for X-Ray and Bond Test machinery.
  • Design and documentation of electrical panels, PCBs, and general machine wiring.
  • Basic mechanical design for electro-mechanical elements of machines.
  • Practical electrical and electronic prototyping.
  • Specification, documentation, and management of electrical bills of materials.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • Substantial experience (5+ years) of designing Electronic/Electrical Systems in an industrial setting.
  • Experience of designing electromechanical systems (e.g., Robotics, production automation etc.).
  • Extensive experience of designing electrical panels for industrial systems (Circuit breakers, contactors, etc.)
  • CAD experience (preferably AutoCAD, Inventor, Cadstar)
