Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our R&D teams in the Cambridge office. As a key member of our DevOps team, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving development workflows to promote good security practices in the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with teams to establish and implement SDLC controls;
  • Utilise existing development tooling to identify baseline security requirements and security controls for implementation;
  • Utilise metrics associated with tooling to measure the effectiveness of security controls in support of business objectives;
  • Support engineering teams and projects with outcomes of security assessments and tooling (code review, system acceptance testing)
  • Feedback to product and engineering teams to prioritise and implement outcomes based on necessity and impact;
  • Promote the operation of secure coding to the wider workforce;
  • Mature the development processes in line with a pro-security business culture;

Requirements

  • Experience working in DevOps or a production environment;
  • Experience writing scripts or applications, ideally in Python;
  • Analytical skills to solve problems and support the devops teams;
  • Staying up to date on the latest secure development frameworks and latest security news;
  • Ability to explain highly technical findings and risks to individuals with a technical and non-technical background;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Professional technical writing skills;
