Job Title: Principal Cyber Security Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Principal Cyber Security Engineer to join our team at Jagex. As a key member of our security team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud-based infrastructure.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned security professional to lead and perform infrastructure threat modeling, security architecture reviews, and provide security recommendations that balance functional and non-functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement robust security controls to safeguard infrastructure, applications, and data.
  • Spearhead the design, implementation, and continuous monitoring of security measures and best practices for AWS and Azure environments.
  • Develop, document, and maintain security processes, incident response plans, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to embed security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps) from inception to deployment.
Requirements:
  • Substantial experience within the cyber security domain, particularly with cloud security operations in federated enterprises.
  • Ability to lead and perform infrastructure threat modeling, security architecture reviews, and provide security recommendations that balance functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Experience with AWS services, containers, orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes), and cloud-native security tools such as AWS Security Hub and Azure Security Center.
  • Familiarity with automated security processes such as CI/CD pipeline security, infrastructure-as-code security, and automated patch management.
  • Cloud security certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), CISSP or equivalent.
