About the Role: Logistics Scheduling Manager

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Scheduling Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the movement of vehicles, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimising costs. You will work closely with other traffic planners to schedule daily activities, taking into account WTR and Drivers Hours Rules, vehicle weights and dimensions, and the Road Traffic Act.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Effective planning of an agreed amount of resource (vehicles, drivers, trailers) to maximise vehicle utilisation and minimise costs
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure customers are notified of any changes to collections/deliveries and charges reflect these changes
  • Allocation of work from vehicles, drivers, collections, and deliveries to meet customer requirements
  • Accurate recording of KPI information on company and other IT systems
  • Driver de-briefings, checking and authorising driver timesheets, and downloading Tachograph data

Estimated Salary: £ 45,000 - £55,000 per year.
