About the Role

The EMEA CS Proposals and Contracts Manager will be involved in all aspects of quoting service and support contracts for existing and new customers of the KION Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be the principal point of contact for allocated opportunities or customers.
  • Maintain good relationships with existing customers, as well as potential customers, through the provision of a high-quality service.
  • Maintain and improve the KION Group's image as a world-class leader, by adopting an honest, professional, and attentive approach.
  • Liaise with Sales Managers, Regional Maintenance Managers, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Liaise with customers to interpret their requirements and initial requirements into detailed specifications, scope, resource estimation, and contract costing.
  • Develop contract proposals in collaboration with internal engineering departments and external sub-contractors.
  • Ensure that contract proposals meet the requirements of Health and Safety.
  • Generate project files containing project definitions, resource calculations, costing sheets, implementation programmes, and general correspondence.
  • Manage the contract renewals process, ensuring accurate pricing and timely communication.
  • Comply with Company Policy as defined in the Staff Handbook, Safety Manual, and Quality Assurance Manual.
Requirements
  • A formal engineering qualification would be desirable and useful to the role.
  • Further education in Business Administration would also be useful in the role.
  • Deep understanding of service contracts and contract management.
  • Capability to conduct cost analysis and calculations of technical/maintenance service-based products.
  • A knowledge of maintenance and maintenance service operations would be a distinct advantage in the role.
  • Proficient user of the core MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with additional systems relevant to the role would also be desirable.
  • An appreciation for return on investment (ROI) and a basic understanding of financial concepts.
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment or warehouse automation would be useful.
