Lead CPM / Console & Interior Trim Design Engineer

Are you ready to take on a challenging role in automotive design and development? We are seeking a highly skilled Lead CPM / Console & Interior Trim Design Engineer to join our team at a leading automotive design and development hub in Cranfield.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the Cockpit Module, focusing on Quality, Cost, and Delivery, ensuring all KPIs are met.
  • Manage project layouts, concept sheets, and technical files preparation towards production release.
  • Oversee cost versus budget, ensuring specifications and performance criteria are met at each milestone.
  • Engage directly with suppliers on technical and commercial aspects, including RFQ creation and quote analysis.

Requirements:

  • A qualification in Design / Engineering with a strong portfolio in automotive design and development.
  • Proficiency in CAD interrogation skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience in automotive design, cost breakdown analysis, and working within a technical/commercial team.
  • A valid driving licence and the ability to travel globally as required.
