SEN Tutor Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEN tutor to provide bespoke tuition packages on a 1:1 basis to young people without a school placement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, plan, and deliver tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education and boost engagement and attainment levels.
  • Work with pupils who may have low confidence levels due to being out of education for an extended period.
  • Monitor progression with each pupil and support effective learning in collaboration with Prospero Teaching.

Contract Details:

  • Location: Within the community or pupils' home in Bexley.
  • Position: 1:1 SEN tutor.
  • Type of work: Contract.
  • Start date: ASAP.
  • Duration: Until the pupil can reintegrate into a new school placement.
  • Contract type: Temporary.
  • Full-time/part-time: Minimum rate of pay - £22+ per hour.

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent.
  • UK classroom teaching experience.
  • Ability to be creative, patient, and think outside the box.
  • Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils.

To be Eligible:

  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child-related references.
