Financial Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Reed. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in driving profitable growth and ensuring the long-term financial success of our transport company in Southend.

This is an exciting time for our company, with a focus on developing and implementing analytical standards for multiple business areas. You will be responsible for analysing financial data, developing complex financial models, and leading report development with PowerBI.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analysing financial data and preparing reports to inform business decisions
  • Developing and maintaining complex financial models in Excel to support business planning
  • Leading the development of reports using PowerBI to provide insights and recommendations
  • Collaborating with departments as a business partner to drive financial performance
  • Supporting the finance team during month-end closing and ensuring accurate financial reporting

Candidate requirements:

  • Strong data management and IT skills, with experience using PowerBI and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to stakeholders
  • Financial modelling experience is essential, with a strong understanding of financial concepts and principles
  • Part qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification

Salary: £40,000-£45,000 per annum

Hours: 9am-5:30pm

Location: Southend-On-Sea (hybrid)
